About Jon and AVA

Jon Feucht (pronounced Foyte) was born in 1977 in south central Wisconsin, with Cerebral Palsy. He was fully included in regular classes from the second grade. With the help of his trusty word board and an one-on-one aide, he graduated high school and was lifted into the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Upon his arrival to Whitewater, Jon quickly learned that having a word board wasn’t enough for his communicative needs. In the fall of 1997 he was introduced to the products of Prentke Romich Company. They opened a new world for Jon, that he wanted to share with other people with speech disabilities.

Authentic Voices of America was Jon’s brain child in 1999. At the
camp in 2003, Jon met his wife, Sarah, who is also an AAC user.

Jon holds a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Special education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
